God tests Abraham by commanding him to offer Isaac on a mountain in the land of Moriah; the Angel of the LORD stops him and a ram is provided (Gen 22).

Abraham offered Isaac "by faith" (Heb 11:17-19). Scripture gives no year. Ussher dates it 2133 AM (Isaac 25, following Josephus); Jordan suggests about 2130.
